Every Denkmeier Binoviewer, Eyepiece, and Power x Switch or Power x Switch Star Diagonal is carefully assembled in our Maryland, USA facilty. Our machined parts are also produced within the State of Maryland. While we could increase profits by using overseas companies to manufacture our parts, we feel that the consumer benefits from our decision to keep our maching in the USA. We also prefer not to outsource the assembly of these complicated systems because we know that our personal work enables us to monitor every phase of production efficiently. We realize that when we ourselves are actually building a system, quality control at every step of the procedure is possible. The tremendous amount of positive feedback from customers across the globe that appears all over the internet and through word of mouth at star parties is a direct result of our dedication to making extraordinary binoviewing systems. Compromising quality in order to compete with importers is unecessary, as long as there are large numbers of amateurs ho appreciate what the Denkmeier philosophy contributes to the betterment of their astronomical pursuits.
Our mission at Denkmeier Optical, Inc. is to optimize binoviewing systems and their optical accessories in order to provide the ultimate two-eye observing experience for every visual astronomer. We focus on producing premium quality and affordable systems for delivery to the customer in a reasonable time frame. Our systems are flexible enough for operation with all types of telescope designs, bringing the comfort of observing with two eyes into the mainstream of amateur astronomy. By paying attention to minute detail and listening to customer feedback, we have developed innovative ideas with practical applications that benefit the visual astronomer.
The Astronomy Community has enthusiastically incorporated the Standard and the Premium Denk ll Binoviewer Systems into their observing arsenal. In fact, for many amateurs these mainstays of our product line have become the sole instruments used at the eyepiece-end of their telescopes. Binoviewers have come a long way in just a few short years. They are no longer considered "novelty items" and we like to think that Denkmeier Optical, Inc. played a large part in bringing this evolution about. Our patent applications cover the innovations that helped create this newfound identity now afforded to the binoviewer. In a sense, it's flattering to see the rush of competitive products that have appeared in the marketplace since we arrived on the scene in 2001. We must be doing something right. Of course, the high quality and unique innovations that make our systems the most versatile and efficient performers in the industry effectively seperate us from the pack.
Now we also introduce a more affordable system called the Big Easy, which is actually a Standard Denk Binoviewer without some of the more expensive appointments like SCD Holders, the Power x Switch, or aluminum case. The Big Easy promises to find it's way into the telescope focusers of thousands of observers who had previously decided that a purchase of the higher priced Standard and Denk II Systems would have to wait for less lean times. Reaching Focus is no problem on Refractors, Newtonians or SCTs and the multiple magnification modes including a focal reduction mode for F/10 SCTs make The Big Easy big news!
Our recent innovation, the Power x Switch Star Diagonal series offers both single eyepiece users and Binoviewer enthusiasts a means to experience the magic of Power Switching. Once you try this, you will be hooked, no doubt at all.
All Denkmeier products offer the same beautiful fit and finish, ease of merge and versatile power flexibility for all types of telescopes. We sell our binoviewers and accessories directly to the public, worldwide as well as through a few selected dealers who have the knowledge and dedication to represent our product with enthusiasm. Our technical support and customer service has an outstanding reputation for assisting every customer--both before and after their purchase.
New product introductions in 2005, including our own eyepieces are available for purchase in our Denkmeier Online Store. Speaking of our new eyepieces, they have been designed specifically for the Denkmeier line of binoviewers utilizing the highest quality Japenese raw glass and they are assembled in our U.S.A. facility. In quick order, they have been rated the best binoviewer eyepieces anywhere by many of those who have compared them to other eyepieces that also were considered to be of the finest quality.
We will continue our efforts to bring two-eyed observing to the forefront of amateur astronomy. Browse through our online store and please do not hesitate to give us a call if you want to speak with a real human. We'll do our very best to answer all of your questions and get you started on your journey of rediscovering the splendors of the Universe, as nature intended. Afterall, we do have two eyes.
